    its telling me that the sample list is empty  :(


    That's your sample list that is empty - you have to choose 5 sample cards then they show up on your sample list.

    Click on 'Free Samples'->'View Card Range'->click on a card to view it in detail->add to sample list (space for 5)-> click 'back' x 2->click Request Sample->fill in your details
