Anyone else not a social media comper ?

Hi all
Just wondering if there’s any compers out there who don’t enter social media comps, but still have success with comping? I notice on the prize unboxing videos etc that most seem to be wins from twitter / fb / instagram.
I don’t have fb and I think if I made one solely for comping it would be obvious and I wouldn’t win. I have twitter but only have 20 followers so i think I wouldn’t win there either. I’ve been trying on instagram but no luck yet.

You can win without it but obviously there are fewer competitions available if you do not use it and possibly fewer entry routes for some as well.

Only one of my larger wins (£2k plus) was from social media but it would usually have been good for £500+ a year when I bothered with it.

(about 10 mins after posting I won one of the few FB comps I now do)
  • I enter using twitter but not Facebook because I don't want my feed filled with rubbish lol. Nor instagram because I've not got an account.
  • I only really use twitter for social media comps... Don't worry about not having many followers, just get stuck in and see how you get on!
I find that when you get a bit more active you end up with more followers anyway...
There's a thread on here somewhere where people share their usernames so you could add a few nice mse compers?
Living thriftily ;) most of the time
  • I keep getting shadowbanned on twitter :(

I've not much luck with Twitter, but then again it is purely for comping.

Facebook doesn't have to be obvious. If you don't enter the competitions where they ask you to share (I rarely do!) then it won't be obvious. Just enter the Like and Comment competitions, I've won a fair bit from Facebook, none of which were share competitions.

I've won a couple from Instagram but I use it regularly and again don't share competitions all over it.

If a competition is run correctly, it shouldn't matter if it is a competition account or not, the winner should be completely random, unless it is an effort competition of course.

Most of my wins are Facebook, Gleam and Rafflecopters, which is what I focus most on now.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.
  • Does shadow bans affect rafflecopter entries?
  • What's a shadowban?

I enter no social media comps at all but it hasn't stopped me winning.
Sometimes I think if I had a Twitter or Facebook account I would probably win so much more, but at the same time, I would spend way too much time comping than I already do.
I do alright without tweeting, liking and following so until that changes, no social media for me.:)

I only started social media comps about a year ago and won plenty before I did but more and more are run on social media these days so I felt I should move with the times. I started in stages, first Instagram this time last year, then Facebook just before Christmas and Twitter a couple of months ago. I've won most on Facebook, which seems to account for most of my wins overall at the moment. I've also won quite a few on Instagram and once on Twitter so far. I don't really use social media for much other than comping and have had no issues with this. There may be comps I haven't won because of it, if those who run the comps check out social media pages of potential winners, but there have been plenty that I have won so for me, it's still worth doing.
