Barclay Mortgage Application

Hi all,

What do mortgage companies look for on bank statements?
Specifically Barclays?
We have passed the initial DIP/AIP credit check.
Do they scrutinise every payment or is it more to make sure your income goes into that account?

Thanks

  • Hi Lucas,

    They will look over you bank statements and view the transactions on them. I wouldn't say they scrutinise each and every payment but they could query for the following:
    * Gambling habits
    * Being overdrawn
    * Unexplained cash deposits
    These are just general examples and every lender is different
