Wrong Goods Sent?

Looking for advice on an item I recently purchased from Ebay. The seller sent out the wrong item, after contacting the seller I was informed to open up a dispute so that a return postage label could be generated. The seller informed me that once the wrong goods have been received then the correct goods will then be sent.

It appears that if I carry out a dispute I will automatically receive a full refund, which is not what I want because the correct goods have to be sent at a later date.

The sale was an auction item and I ended up with a bargain, so I don't want loose this purchase.

Any advice please?

    They don't need a dispute

I can generate and email a return postage label from myhermes .

When it's safely returned they can send the correct item , I've done it myself in error before
