Question regarding divorce and ex moving new partner into the property

Hi,
I am just looking for any info about the following scenario and if anyone has been through this personally that could offer some guidance?
I went through a divorce 4 years ago and my ex wife kept the marital home that we have a mortgage on. To date, we are both still named on the mortgage and she lives there with our 5 and 9 year old children. I have been trying to come off the mortgage for months but keep hitting a stumbling block due to arrears that my ex wife has incurred.
My ex wife now has a new partner and had been discussing about moving him in, which I am absolutely fine about. If this is to happen however, then I want to force the sale of the property as this is the best way for me to complete detach myself from the property. She is adament that she does not want to sell and informs me that legally I can't ask for this, even if she does move her new partner in. Has anyone else been in this situation previously and able to shed some further light on this?
Thanks All
