  • I've been watching that one but I won a different (£1800 value) Maytag earlier in the week (got a bit carried away with the final bid, as you do , but still paid less than half shop price). I can't plumb a fridge in where it would need to go in my kitchen which is why I didn't put a bid in for this one. People seem to bid stupid money for the Samsungs which are supposed to be rubbish so it will be interesting to see what this one, which is far better quality, goes for in the end.

Ugh - the 4x4s of the fridge world. Consume huge amounts of energy and you fill them with food then then goes off so you throw it away. Just cos the Joneses have one doesn't mean that you need one too. ;)

Oh my word you almost made me laugh out loud. :rotfl:

    * As it's 'A' rated for energy, I'd be happy to be educated as to how it's significantly less efficient than other similarly sized appliance? Maybe some people prefer, or through necessity, buy a piece of cheap cra-p that will fail and be dumped in landfill in 2 to 5 years but personally I'd rather spend a bit more and get something of better quality that is designed to last.
    * The size of my fridge does not determine how much I buy when I take a trip to the supermarket...the trolleys aren't sized according to fridge capacity after all. ;)
    * I don't know anyone called Jones, nor anyone with a Maytag, nor do I harbour fridge envy. I think somebody's jealous...

    PS - bull-bars aren't an optional extra. :D

Well shopping to fill the trolley with a level load like a skip is certainly a new one on me!

Now that made me laugh out loud!
