Hi guys, just a quick question, I took out a loan with Satsuma, have repaid in full today however they said a early settlement quote will be sent to my home address which isn’t great because don’t want my parents seeing ive taken a loan out.
Question is will Satsuma’s envelope have their logo / detail on it or will it be a blank envelope?
Anybody in the know could let me know that would be great.
Thank you

Even if it does, can you not just tell them it was junk mail, or one of those letters that says you are 'pre-approved'?0

You either come clean, deal with the fallout or lie about the envelope.0 -
If it's been repaid in full - that means it's been paid off, yes? - then why do they need to send an early settlement quote?
Did you just pay the loan money and not include the interest and that's what the letter will be about, or did you complete all monthly payments on time, in which case there should be no more to pay.0 -
I was 6 months into a 12 month instalment loan so repaid early – the woman said because I am repaying early a early settlement quote will be generated to be sent to your home which cannot be stopped, this quote is valid for 28 days – asked her why it cannot be stopped but she said it cannot, so I repaid in full and have had confirmation my loan has been repaid.
Lets just hope the envelope is blank and doesn’t sat satsuma on it.

Would your parents even know who Satsuma are? I'd never heard of them.
Since you are over 18 and an adult, you are entitled to apply for loans. Nothing to be ashamed of.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I can confirm that Satsuma Loans do NOT use a branded envelope on their settlement confirmation letter. This is from someone who used them less than one month ago and received a settlement quote.
I have never seen Satsuma Loans or Provident Finance branding on any of their correspondence actually. However, I have found that it can be difficult to obtain credit without someone finding out, unless the credit is online-only like PayPal. Ease them into it and if they are one of those people who still believes an address connects everyone's credit together, remind them that yours is separate, even if you missed a payment or defaulted.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge. I second that Satsuma send unbranded envelopes...
However, Provident marketing communications on the other hand have it plastered on and cause questions at home over nothing!0 -
Hi,
Know the above was a few months ago but I have a question ..
If the loan is settled and not early, do satsuma send any correspondence..?? Like a end of loan letter?
Thanks0
