Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for an electric multi pot with pressure cooker. I have spent ages looking at reviews and narrowed it fown to
instant pot ( the most expensive so hoping for cheaper suggestions.)
Crockpot Express £89.99. Has excellent reviews, though is very big.
Pressure king Pro £59.99 Also has very good reviews.
Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks

I'm not going to be much help as I have only just bought ours and it hasn't been delivered yet. But we used a relative's instant pot a few times and it is amazing.
After looking at all the reviews I have seen a few people complain about the non stick lining coming away from the inner pot of the pressure king pro and as we are planning on using it 3-4 times a week I have crossed that off the list.
The crockpot express looks far better but again has a nonstick coating on the inner bowl. So I was put off by that.
The instant pot doesn't have the nonstick coating, it is just a stainless steel bowl but it was incredibly easy to clean and I have had no issue with food sticking. Then from Amazon the instant pot is £115 and the crockpot (my second fave on my list) is £90. So I just decided that if we are spending all that money then I'd rather just spend the extra £25 and get something I know is really good.SPC #062

I bought an Instant Pot when I moved house to save on kitchen space - it combines a slow cooker and a pressure cooker. It's simple to use, and like Rebecca Ann, I opted for it due to the stainless steel inner bowl rather than non stick.
I find it ideal because when I use it as a pressure cooker, I can set it up and walk away, unlike the manual stovetop pressure cooker I had before. This is an absolute boon, particularly as I don't hear well. With the manual pressure cooker I had to stand and watch intently for it to come up to pressure, then turn the gas down. This often seemed to take ages, and now I'm freed up from the bother.
The stainless steel bowl is flat bottomed and highly polished. I too find it easy to clean. Although it's designed for sauteing in situ, because I'm not very tall I prefer to place the stainless steel container on my ceramic hob and saute on there. It's just more comfortable for me.
I've now had it three months and it's a great piece of kit.0 -
we are looking for a all in one pressure and slow cooker. I saw on another thread somewhere that there were some cheaper alternatives, Salter? Cookworks? are these worth looking at or is it Instant Pot / PKP all the way?0

Unfortunately if you have one, you probably won't know anything about the others. I have an Instant Pot and love it. I have stainless steel inners but also bought the ceramic one, which I actually prefer. I know absolutely nothing about any of the other pots!0

I have a three litre King pro and its very good but I must admit I prefer a slow cooker.lot less to wash up.But it does seem to work quite well, but then I hhave not used it awfully much

I have a Pressure King Pro and I love it.
No problems at all with the non stick surface coming off. I got it because I really disliked my slow cooker, the food always seemed bland and watery. With my PKP everything comes out tasty and rich. one of the best gadgets I've ever bought, right up there with my Kenwood and my bean-to-cup.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I'm another instant pot fan. I'd never pressure cooked before but I use this function all the time now and have never had a fail to date
I didn't know you could get a ceramic insert though - what are the pros and cons of that please Helebore?0 -
I haven`t a clue about cons of the ceramic inner, it is supposed to be better for tomato based products. I just prefer it but I don`t really know why! I still use my stainless steel one, I bought a second ss inner then bought the ceramic one, wishing I had bought a ceramic one previously! Oh, I don`t spend willy nilly, I have vouchers to use up so not really my money iyswim! I would definitely recommend, not sure if there is one if you have an 8 ltr pot, I have a 6 ltr one.0
