Yes. We ask for an enormous list of stuff;-

    Payslips
    P60
    Accounts/SA302s/Acct's Cert
    Proof Of Deposit
    Gifted deposit letter/form
    Three months' bank statements
    ID
    Proof Of Address.

but a lender may ask for one, single, latest payslip.

We still have to hold it all on file though as it can be requested from us at any time.

I should have added that the final payment made in July 2018 was to a company called Cabot Finance. Essentially the debt was passed to them a few years ago - but again i have a letter from them to say its all paid off.

If your debts were passed to a third party for collection. May not endear you to those particular lenders should you apply to them. Like elephants, lenders have long memories.

Barclays have just given me a mortgage on one pretty average income and with a load of credit card debt. You'll probably be fine.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease. Did they request additional information?

Also, how long did it take from submitting your full application to getting approval with Barclays?

Heya would you mind disclosing what counts as a pretty average income and how much credit card debt you had?
