Mortgage progressing, but want to renegotiate

Hi All
situation is... we have had our offer (@ Market price) accepted.
we have then proceeded, and got the Surveyors report done and the pre-exchange checks report done.
Our solicitors have responded back to the vendors' own with few questions raised and requested more info on certain bits.
Now based on what info we have so far from both reports. We want to renegotiate the offer price.
1) At what stage do we do this? Can we do it now, or is it advisable to still await response from vendors solicitors.
2) And who does it. Do we go straight to Estate Agent and raise the queries or Do we go through our solicitor to do so?
Any advise who be appreciated

you can try and ask, but the vendor could say no and could stop selling to you if it is a minor thing or trying to gazunder"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If it is a minor thing you may wish to ask the m to rectify it at their own cost.
If they have a chain and are scared of losing the property they have lined up to buy they may feel the yare forced to accept yout loer offer. But there would be nothing really stopping them from ttrashing the place and taking away everythng possible just before they leave leaving you with my higher costs.0
