SVR cos below 25,000

My mortgage provider has written and advised my fixed rate ends Oct 31, which is great.
They can't offer a further fixed rate because the remaining balance is under 25K, not great.
The only option open to me with my mortgage provider is SVR :(
Is there a list of the best SVR's with no set up fees over a short term period of 4 years say?
Disappointed, Yes.
Any advice on this or other possible options would be appreciated :)

    Hello

I don't know who you are with, but I definitely fixed at less than 25,000 owing on mine. I was with Halifax at the time. Worth having a look around? Just consider set up fees etc compared to being on current lenders SVR.

    Bexster :)
  • Definitely have a look around, a mortgage advisor might be able to help and examine whole of market for you too.
Great to owe that little now, well done!

I was able to get another fix with my mortgage provider when my remaining balance was much less than that.

One debt remaining. Home improvement loan.
  • Get a personal loan at approx. 3% if that is less than your SVR. Also with the added bonus of it not being secured on your property, so you know if anything bad where to happen, you cant lose your home!

I was with Natw**t and had the same issue. I think it is disgusting that people on a lower amount cannot get the same deals as people on higher amounts. I was very lucky in that I had the money (under 20k) to pay it off but for people who cannot do that it is like another 'mortgage prisoner' scenario. Not worth paying fees for new deal elsewhere and also income may have changed making it very hard to pass affordability. I find this very cynical. But they will not be getting 3.99% from me
