Specific Question Regarding IPA Please

Good evening and thank you for reading my question.

I am officially released from BR however I had an IPA placed on me. So far have never actually had to make a payment as for several reasons my income and circumstances changed immediately after.

I am now hoping to move in with my new partner asap. If I do so, will his income be taken into consideration? We are not married and it is a relatively new relatiomship. My BR is nothing to do with him so we have no joint debts, property, assets etc.

I still won’t earn enough to pay an IPA due to ill health. I am in receipt of benefits.

I understand that if I do leave my rented accommodation and move in with him I will need to let Clarke Wilmott know, but will they ask for my new partner’s income in their forms? I do not want him to be affected by my previous misfortunes but would like to move in ASAP if possible.

Thank you so much for reading this far, any advice is appreciated.

Kindest regards

YR x

If your only income is benefits then you can't be given an IPA.

If they ask for your partners details it will only be to check your outgoing a now that you share household costs. If he agrees they will assume household costs are split in your income ratios, if he refuses then they assume 50/50.
