PeakMum getting back on track

Hiya, I’m PeakMum!
I’m 36 years old, married with 2 children (3 and 7) and have realised that some bad decisions over the last few years have left us with some debts to pay. Across 2 credit cards we have approx £8k debt. £6k of that is 0% until the end of 2019.
I’ll get some proper figures and get a signature done over the weekend. I want to use this diary to chat away to myself (I don’t expect anyone to want to read!!) and keep myself accountable. I’m hoping to keep September spending low with a grocery challenge and will keep tabs on that here. I’m excited to get rid of this debt and give us more choices in the future!

Wow I have just gone through my freezer and cupboards and am completely gobsmacked by how much food I have in. I have listed it all and will turn it into meal plans for September. Looking to keep my food spend down to a minimum. Its payday and I've allocated our spending for the month in YNAB (anyone else use it?). Now just to keep on track! Weekends are always a challenge....0
