dementia tracker

I am after advice on the tracking devices for people with dementia and any other tips as well - my dad who was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago started wandering and getting lost now. He will continue living with us and I have thought about some help from outside agencies as well so I will contact local council. From your experience - any chance of them helping to fund some tracking device or I better don't hope?
It would have to be something non-removable that he wears, I can think of a bracelet only. Any other tips welcome.

The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

My son can track his two young children via his phone.0

It would be worth looking on the specialist dementia sites like
https://www.atdementia.org.uk/productCategory.asp?cat_id=9
There are also several forums for carers who will probably have relevant experience.0
