Hi all I hope you had a great festive break.

I need some serious advice. My debt has accrued somewhat. I now owe £4,300 on my credit card and husband owes £4,400. We've just applied for new credit cards to transfer our balances as the interst rate is 0% until Feb 09. This will give us a bit of time to pay some off without the interest. I am looking at ways to cut other bills. If I find a cheaper deal on my home insurance for example can I just cancel my current policy and change to another? EEEKKKKK

What happend? That is a fair increase since your last post.
I think you need to look at your SOA as I didnt notice any car insurance, tax repairs listed, haircuts, clothes and so on. A spending diary has been suggested have you tried this? You will be able to sort this all out but u need to know REALLY where the money is going and what on.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

I know I'm so silly - I just mounted a few things on the cc over christmas. I have started to keep track of what I am spending. I've stopped going at lunch time and it seems i'm saving a lot of petrol and it stops me from spending money in supermarkets on food i don't really need. I just need a kick up the jacksy!
