Thank you everyone for your replies, each and everyone giving good advice . Night off tonight so have cracked on in 15 min bursts as wide awake , kitchen and bathroom looks presentable now , lounge looks cleaner and tidier than it has in months , I was amazed (ashamed) with how much clutter had built up , have 2 big bags of stuff to go upstairs to be put away later , don’t want to wake son up as he has work in the morning but will leave him a note asking him if he will just take them upstairs before he leaves for work if he has time . Washing machine doing it’s thing as is the dishwasher . Me I’m now off to sit down for half an hour with a hot drink as think I deserve a break , my body will not appreciate my efforts when I wake up but it’s done now . Thank you all for all your help and motivation . A problem shared and all that jazz has definitely helped . Will be making a daily plan tomorrow to keep on top of it :)

    Well done you :T

See its clutter thats always the cuprit, chuck the clutter and life becomes so much easier :D

Seriously though, working through a tiny bit at a time Ive decluttered and tidied a hell of a lot of my home so housework really is simple now. It took a lot of courage to get started but once I did decide an area was being dealt with, I got it done and that area is still clutter free. I started on my book cases that are in my bedroom, they were stashed high with everything other then books, I even found the estate agents brochures for this house, and Ive lived here 12 years:eek: A fold up crate, two bin bags, an afternoon and it was cleared. Charity shop stuff in the crate, rubbish in the bin bags, books dusted and put back in order. Crate in the boot of the car and disposed of the next journey into town. And so I went around the house and done a little bit now and then and slowly but surely I have tidy drawers and cupboards that things can be put away. The wardrobes are still waiting their turn, but I will get there before the end of the year :)

Thanks for the update, Bubsmum - have you started your daily plan yet?

When I was decluttering (we hardly have anything left now hehe!) I created a 'landing space' in my home where we put things that needed to be donated/sold/thrown. Once a week I would clear the area completely so there was a steady stream of stuff leaving the house. I would also highly recommend reading "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo :)
