Is it normal that I haven't been asked for proof of deposit

Hi guys. I get the keys for my house on Friday. I got an email today from my bank to say the funds are ready to be released to my solicitor tomorrow. I have filled in all necessary paperwork and sent bank to my solicitor. But I'm just curious as to why I haven't been asked to prove where my deposit has come from as I thought you had to provide proof of this? I don't want to rock the boat by asking as I really want to just get my keys and that be it but I don't want to turn up on Friday and be told I need to provide this information without any paperwork to prove this.

Also want to add that I paid my deposit and solicitor fees on Monday over the phone and proof of where it came from was not questioned.0

Some solicitors aren't too bothered about it (though I'd be wondering what else they're being sloppy about!). I wouldn't worry.0

Lenders often do not ask if the deposit is on the modest size.I am a Mortgage Broker
