Hi people.
I'm already bankrupt myself, I did this before my accounts defaulted.
My mate is thinking of Bankruptcy as well, owes 25k on credit cards, loans, and only earns 18k a year.
His cards and loan have already defaulted, would you recommend bankruptcy now? He can't afford settlement figures or can't really afford to pay them back.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
No one can answer that question without seeing your mates SOA.
Best advice is for him to contact one of the free debt charities and go through his income/expenditure with them, they will then be able to advise.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
