After much deliberation and investigating the various options available I recently took the plunge and transferred my old style DC pension pot to where I can start drawing down from it.
I'm still working, but now only 3 days per week, and using the other days to hatch the next part of the plan - no days per week!
Many thanks to the various contributors on this forum who gave sound advice and made useful suggestions.

Are you still contributing to a DC pension through the workplace scheme?
Have you triggered MPAA?0 -
And hav you taken money frm the pot?0

I am still contributing to my current employer's DC scheme.
I haven't taken a lump sum from the drawdown pot yet.
For the moment I am only withdrawing from the tax free element and so haven't triggered MPAA.
The intention is to use up the tax free element gradually - it should last till around state pension age (I will be 61 next birthday). My current DC scheme and a deferred DB scheme become available at age 65.
Of course no-one knows what's around the corner, which is mainly why I decided to go for it and enjoy these 4 day weekends.0
