Firstly, I just want to say - I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the right place, so apologies if it’s not.
Okay, so. We currently rent off my other half’s brother and he has recently sold the property. Our plan was to get a mortgage, because we have a good deposit and can afford it, but unfortunately due to my other half having a fixed term contract at work and myself having poor credit thanks to an ex, we weren’t able to. So we’ve pretty much resigned ourselves to renting, but 85% of landlords won’t allow our six year old indoor cat. I’m also a disabled person, so we need to be a little specific (ie. what floor we’d be on).
We had an idea but we’re not sure if it’s viable and obviously we’d want to be sure before we made any contact.
Is there such a thing as my other half’s brother taking our a mortgage for us or helping us in some way?

We went to First Mortgages. The lady was really nice and we’d not only been recommended them, but also her. She sent emails, made calls, etc. and then said there was nothing she could do for us right now.
We are both in full time employment, with, as I said, a decent deposit and an income that means we could definitely afford the monthly payments, so.0 -
Apologies by the way, the quoting function isn’t working - I’m using my phone.0
