A New Fridge/Freezer Or A Fix

I have a Hoover frost free fridge/free Optimax with a 3 star rating. I must have it now for at least 20 years, so it really doesn’t owe me anything. As I now live on my own I treat it as an overspill fridge/freezer that stays in my utility room
Recently the seal went on the freezer door causing a major build up of crumble ice in the freezer.
There appears to be two options available to me. Replace the seal, by far the cheapest option or buy a more modern model or even buy a freezer won its own, I do make use of the fridge but I suppose I could live without it.
While cost is a factor I’m wondering if buying a new model would be more cost effective, over the medium term - say five years, than simply fixing the seal
So, from a money saving saving stand point of view the question is a quick fix, or a medium term investment. Myself I’m thinking a quick fix, but I no nothing about how to calculate costs. I would appreciate opinions
As always thanks for your views
