Hello
I would like some help in finding a letter template. I have £30k worth of debt and interest charges has caused me hardship. Does anyone have a letter I can send to my creditors to state that the interest charges have left me in severe hardship with little or no chance of paying the full amount back. I have a DMP but it will take me until 2027 until im debt free. I borrowed £1100 off a payday loan and they have charged me a total of £1000 in interest eventhough I told them I was in financial difficulty. Any help would be greatly received.
This was as a result of redundancy in 2015.

Thanks. There is also something which the Financial Ombudsman can look at if you write to a company to state that there charges and interest have caused hardship and would like them to review your circumstances....Do you have these letters for other companies on my DMP?0 -
Hi,
You can just simply write what you want to say, you don’t need template letters.
Tell them your in a DMP, and that you are making an attempt to repay what you owe, you believe it’s unfair you are been treated the same as someone who ignores there debts, by the creditors still adding interest, it will take much longer to repay the balance.
So please stop all interest and charges and back date this to the start of my DMP.
