Tax efficiency on pension by living abroad

I have transferred my Final salary pension out of the company and into a wealth fund (having taken all the right advice). It's a large amount.
I am working part time now so don't need the money at the moment.
I've worked and lived abroad a few times in my career so am considering doing this at the point that I start drawing my pension - has anybody done this such that they have reduced their tax bill on drawdown? If I went to Bahrain for example for a couple of years could I take the full pension out in one go (tax free - it's below £1.2m).

You say you've moved it to a 'wealth fund' - could you be a bit clearer on what exactly that is, please?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

Hi - the moneys is in a St James's Place personal retirement account. The fund is un-crystallised - as I have not starting withdrawing.0
