in Cutting tax
I had my wage slip today and found that my code was 461L, i called the tax office and they said that my previos employer had been using that one.
They have no idea why as it should be 522L which is what next months will be.
They now have to set up an equiry, will i be due money back or will i have to pay them?
I was with previous employer 14 months.

If you are on a 461L and should be on a 522L then they will owe you. Anything overpaid from April '07 will come back through your wages when your employer receives a new notice of coding.
Anything before April '07 will have to be claimed back through the tax office.
