Student loan Plan confusion

Hello everyone, could someone be able to help answer my dilemma please. I originally enrolled/started university on 2011, but due to medical reasons I had to repeatedly suspend my studies and finally graduated in May 2018.

During this time, tuition fees loans increased to £9,000 and due to university/student finance rules, I had to pay this new cost because I had not actively participated at university for over 18 months.

After resuming my studies in the 2016/17 academic year, I was informed to apply for tuition fee funding as a Current/new student but this has confused me because when starting employment, do I inform the employer that I repay my loans on Plan 1 or Plan 2?

Hope my explanation was understandable.

If any loans were taken out under the £3k fees then you'll have some plan 1 loans and some plan 2 loans (the plan 1 threshold is used in this case) but some loans last for 30 years under plan 2 rules.

Your payments will be split across both plans. I have the same situation, with loans across both plans.
