Hi there,

I've been trawling the net for suppliers for dressmaking, wedding cars etc in north Lincolnshire but can't find anything. Does anyone know of anything that could help me with:

a) making bridesmaids dresses
b) wedding car at the end of the evening
c) disco (ie music)

All in the Gainsborough area of Lincolnshire. And if there are any personal reccomendations, that would be even better?! This is all for next year (29th July 2006), but I'm aware that some things get booked up scarily well in advance.

Thanks for all your help.

Regards
VickyA

Best thing is to ask family and friends who they used. Even if it was ten years ago, if the service was any good they will still be in business!

    Hi Vicky

When we got married we had friends that helped with a lot of things. A friend had a really nice Merc so he was our wedding car for the day, friend does discos so he leant us his equipment etc.

Is that something you could consider?

I just pop in now and then.... :)

    Thanks both,

I think I might just have to start being bolshy with my family and get favours out of them. Most people that I know in the area have used various venues with their own in-house DJ, and bridesmaids dresses that were bought. Some of these things are so expensive!

I'm now trying to think of all the people that I know with a nice car. My OH used to have an L reg Nissan Micra until it finally gave up the ghost earlier this year. We'd always "joked" that Noddy (Nissan Micra) would be our wedding car, but it's not to be! We don't actually need a car until the end of the evening as I'll be walking to and from the church as my parents' house is a 5min walk away. I suppose that there may well be a taxi/chauffeur company that specialises in nice cars.............

    Thanks once again.
