Hi, Gosh not posted on here in ages! Went through LILA in Scotland in 2010. Worst period of my life but moved on since then. Did an OU degree, got a good job, no debt and now stand on my own two feet! Cleaned up my credit file, details now off the AiB site but still available to see on the Gazette website. That upsets me as the past is the past, lessons learned and moved on. Is there anyway to remove your details from the Gazette?

No, It stays there forever.
It's a matter of public record. Granted, it's tricky for ordinary mortals to go looking people up these days, but lenders don't have any problem. Stops people fibbing when they get asked that question in any credit application.0 -
Curious. Would a PARV order after the bankruptcy suppress a Gazette entry if the bankrupts residence was still the same address?0

No.
Your name will still be published, but your address won’t be.

Why do you want your entry removed?0 -
This is something that needs changing, a criminal, murderer, rapist, etc can be anonymous enough after a few years, a bankrupt is branded for life, i suspect its because money/financial issues attack the very fabric of the richer parts of society and, whilst Lord/Sir/The Right Hon can fiddle and diddle tax breaks/inheritance/vast estates at will, Joe Public must suffer....worse still their families in years to come will see dad/grandad/great-grandad went BR............0
