They'll rip you off with advance fee fraud.

If you have a complaint, write directly to your mortgage lender.

Mortgage brokers don't calculate repayments. Lenders do. I suppose a broker might produce an estimate, but the lender will specify the actual repayment in the mortgage offer.

Like the man said. Advance fee fraud. Run away.

Well, here is your first pointer to it being fake. Mortgage brokers are an intermediary between you and the lender. Brokers dont do calculations on mortgages and repayments. The lenders do.

Yet there has been no evidence of any of these refunds appearing in the financial press or ombudsman decisions.

You have to be careful as a lot of scams base their claim on a snippet of fact and distort it. Two lenders had a limited period where they failed to comply with the consumer credit act and were told to refund people the interest that was paid during the period of breach. It required no claims company as the FCA instructed them to refund automatically. The consumer didnt have to do a thing.

If lenders were making mistakes like this, the FCA would force them to auto-refund.

I put my figures on that site. I know my mortgage is fine. Yet I was told I had potential redress of over £20,000. Complete and utter rubbish. It then goes on to list the "offending" lenders. However, that list is virtually of them. So, its completely made up.

We do know from other posters that have been foolish enough to try these over the years that the common outcome is that you are told it costs nothing up front. Then about a month later you are told it is progressing and you have a case but it is being referred to a solicitor. Then about a month later you are told you have a strong case and will be getting £xx,xxx back but to proceed you need to pay £495 to £1500 to take it further to cover the legal expenses. There is your classic advance fee fraud. High figure to play to your greed. Small figure to pay which you will willingly pay because you are fixated on that big sum

Despite the many threads, no-one has ever posted about a success. No media articles covering a success (including the financial press which covers many of the FOS decisions and legal cases). No court case has ever been quoted (and they are published in the public domain).
