I am a single parent recently split with partner. Our house is currently worth £100,000, which we bought for £89,000. As I only work part-time I only own 30% and my partner isn't my sons father, so basically I need to pay him off to be able to keep the house. I don't want to sell as then I will drop off the property ladder. Please can somebody give me some advice. Would really appreciate it.

How much of a mortgage is on the property.
I guess your partner is looking for 70% of the increase but this means you would be looking to take a mortgage of the current amount + £7k0 -
Why do you only own 30% ?? did you have this written down in an agreement??
My ex never financially contributed at all but still ended up with the house.0
