I got mine yesterday - no questions - there was a barcode on the desk edge for the operator to scan. I assumed it would be tracked to stop me doing it in another branch today. And HoF are still honouring the loyalty cards - I used mine the same afternoon.I need to think of something new here...0

I think a problem with any retail store is they've got a lot of part time workers and there's no time when everyone is in so they can all be properly briefed at the same time.
Surely they should either require you to hand over the card or have something on the advantage card system to prevent 250 bonus points being added more than once. A store like Waitrose apparently knows if you've had a complimentary coffee in another store on the same day so it must be possible.
IDK, I used to work part time in retail and in several stores, there were always shift start times and these would always begin with a staff hustle- a quick talk through on what was new, what the aims were that day (aims being £takings) and what had happened- if anything, that morning. It would end with a similar summary. I've not worked in a place where a briefing like that didn't happen.0
