Hi everyone
I need some help, im 25 years old and have received a letter from lowell solicitors about a CCJ about a vodaphone account. This is the very first letter i have ever received from them
Now i am on esa due to arthritis in my knees and because of severe mental issues. I dont handle much of my finances i get 400 a month and pretty much all of it goes to rent, bills and food. I own nothing. The only thing i own is clothes and shoes. All from primark.
I do not really know my options. I dont know how to write an email explaining all of this to them.
Many thanks for any help guys

Hi,
What does this letter say ?
Is it your debt ?
With a county court judgement in there favor, you really need to engage with them, you can ask for details of the judgement, how much is it for ?
If all you can afford is £1 a month, then you tell them that.

Hi Marzya and welcome to the forum
You can certainly tell Lowell about your health issues. Most companies now have a vulnerability policy and they should take this into account when dealing with the debt.
Could you tell us a little more about the situation? Do you agree that you owe it? When was the CCJ made? And what are Lowell asking for?
You could try and negotiate an affordable payment plan with Lowell, even if that is only £1 per month. There is also an option to apply to the county court for a payment plan if you find Lowell difficult to deal with. And depending on your circumstances you might have other debt options available. One of the free debt advice agencies will be able to explain more on these.
Best wishes
Susie
