Advice please..Woolwich/Barclays mortgage application

Hi Folks

I am after a huge favour please.

I applied for our mortgage with Woolwich/Barclays at the very beginning of September. Since then it has been a long stream of problems. Mainly we are only told that they need additional information when they are chased...

It is now November and we have not had a mortage offer - the people we are buying from are getting fed up and losing confidence in us.

I have a fax number but no direct contact with the underwriting department - is there anyone out there who has been in this situation and has any advice. Also anyone who knows where these people are located - the fax number is 01322 428 071. Which suggest the following areas: crayford, dartford, erith, farnigham, greenhithe, swanley.

Any help at all appreciated. The sale of our house will complete on 16 November and this is becaming stressful now.

Thanks in anticipation

Rita

The processing centres are based in Mumbai and chennai in India and a large one in Leeds. The fax machines have a Dartford area code although it is electronic fax that gets imaged on. Call up and ask to speak to a team leader and ask it to be logged as a complaint.....

  • Every time Woolwich bringout a good deal the service drops. They have been ok most of the year but since sept I have been avoiding then. Nationwide saved me just last week when they brought out a better 5 year fix!

Honestly. you need to stomp in to your local branch and ask for this to be sorted or you will officially complain and move the mortgage to another lender.

    Many thanks to you all.

The mortage was taken out with Woolwich on line. I will follow up as suggested.

    Thanks again
