Anyone know about this fund?

After quite a bit of research and loads of help on this forum I am now at a point where I have found an IFA I am happy with to proceed with the transfer of my Final Salary pension into a private arrangement.
The fund he is recommending is
Royal London Governed Portfolio 5
It seems to fit my risk profile, have an historical top quartile performance, low charges and it all looks ok to me.
I thought before I sign on the dotted line I'd just ask my MSE friends if there was anything else as its a lot of money being transferred.
I realise this is a very generalised question but any comments from anyone who has any experience with this fund are appreciated.
I have been told its excellent value for money becasue the charge is 0.4% but they refund upto 0.25% back as they are a mutual
Thanks in advance

The problem with asking for input on this site is what you do with any negative answers e.g. 'I wouldn't touch that fund with a bargepole'. Would you really let these override your carefully researched choice of IFA?
If you are happy with your IFA, stick with them.0 -
Yeh. Good advice Brynsam.
The reason I asked was that the advice/messagees up to this point had been so valuable to me that I thought I'd go for it one more time before I finally sign the forms.
Sometimes you never know what you haven't yet considered until some one points it out or on the positive side if someone else with more knowledge than me endorses it then it gives me that little bit more confidence.
But maybe it's time to just sign the forms0 -

it's not a fund. it is an investment strategy. A governed portfolio. It will have about a dozen funds in its make up and is not static. It has ongoing governance.
I use it for some smaller cases and less experienced investors as it is ideally suited to them. I have several on the go at present.I have been told its excellent value for money becasue the charge is 0.4% but they refund upto 0.25% back as they are a mutual
They are not quite the absolute cheapest but are up there in the top 5 consistently. A couple of the cheaper ones are cheap for a reason.
The profitshare, as a mutual is more like 0.15% (although the last 2 years have been a bit higher).
Royal London is the largest provider of income drawdown in the country. So, big brand, large provider, sound investment strategy with ongoing governance at low cost. There isnt really anything to not like. (actually, there is as they are still paper biased but its a minor niggle)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
