Car Mileage

Just looking to find out if car mileage from my own car is taxable? I get giving 25p per mile. I know my Last employment was 40p and it got paid outright the full amount.
Received my pay statement and I’ve been taxed - not sure if worth the hassle of my own car now
Advice much appreciated

Comments

  • Was this mileage for normal home to office travel or to a temporary workplace?
  • Tempory work space, care in the community
  • You can fill in a self-assessment tax return at the end of the year and claim back tax on the other 25p (normally 25p) per mile. HMRC normal rate is 45p per mile for those using their own cars for the first 10,000 miles per year.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
