Settling sainsburys bank loan
Hi
I'm about to settle my Sainsburys bank loan but when I rang up I was told the only way was to bank transfer the remaining balance to them. The guy on the phone gave me an account number and sort code.
That seemed a bit weird to me so I just wanted to confirm this is the correct procedure and that the following is the correct account number and sort code that I should be sending my money to:
12-60-54
08110051
Thanks

Hi,
It looks to be genuine. When I googled the account number the first entry was Sainsbury Customer Support - Loans.
See this thread below:

If you are in any doubt, ring them up again and speak to someone different. Ask them again how to settle the loan. See if they say the same thing...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I settled mine last year. I had been overpaying for a few months so already had all the details set up for transfers. Everytime I overpaid I received a letter saying how much was received and how much interest was saved etc. So when I cleared it I called for a settlement figure and then did the transfer.
Make sure you put your loan account number as the reference. I can't confirm the numbers as I deleted the payee from my Internet banking.

yes it is legit. i settled my sainsbury's loan last month, same method, account details you gave are same ones i have used. remember your reference number is your account number with them only.
