Spending diary app recommendations

Hi everyone. I'm on my debt free journey, and I want to start tracking my spending. I've got an excel sheet for my budget etc, but I want an app that I can record what I am spending each day, so I can see where my money is being spent.
I've tried to look for apps, but a lot of them seem to be overly complicated dragging in bank accounts etc. I just want one where I can put an entry in for what I've spent and on what, and keep daiy/weekly/monthly totals.
Any suggestions? (obviously a free app would be best!)

Have you considered getting an account with Monzo? Apparently the app that accompanies the account is meant to be very good.
or
I just keep the receipts from when I'm out and about and then enter them into YNAB when I get home. I used to use the YNAB app for Android, but then it turned out I couldn't be bothered!!I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I use spending tracker. It’s a really simple app for your phone from the App Store. It’s free.
You just put in the budget and then log each time you spend. You can choose categories and make your own. I find it really useful.
It’s logo is a brown wallet.0 -

Yep, I use this too. Really clear and simple :T0 -
I don't spend much using physical cash these days so I find that my bank account works sufficiently for me to look at what I am spending and where.
We have just got the starling bank account - probably similar to monzo where when you spend on the card, it deducts it from your account immediately and you have a record of that payment instantly - no waiting 1-2-3 days for the transaction to show up on your account.
https://www.starlingbank.com/current-account/ - this gives you a good idea of the benefits. The app categorises your payments and its dead simple to set up.
Another consideration is maybe to go low-tech and buy a cheap small note book and write down what you are spending and then transfer that to your spreadsheet - set up a different worksheet and then you can start categorising your spend in a way that works for you?0 -
I use My Weekly Budget. At the beginning of the week you tell it how much you have to spend and add your purchases as you go through the week. There are some set categories but you can set your own (i.e. I have one called Tesco). It deducts your spends from your available balance and at the end of the week you can choose whether or not to carry over any excess or deficit. You can also choose which day is your beginning of the week.0

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I will have a look and see which one works in the way I was thinking. And if not, maybe low tech is the way to go :-)0
