Secured loan

when i was married i took a secured loan out with my ex on a propery that i was not named on.Even though i signed the agreement on this loan and i am now divorced no longer at thjat address is there any way my name can be removed as my ex has agree to make payments.l have noticed he has defaulted on payments and its affecting my credit score.l cannoit work due to a long term illess so therefore cannot make any paymnents.

The only way is for him to get a new loan and pay off the first.
However, if he's defaulting on payments, that probably isn't going to happen.0 -
Cant see that happening as its £13,000 and he has bad credit.Just wondered as im not named on the mortgage but thanks fort reply0

Your score is only seen by you, what has been impacted by the defaults is your credit history.

i think he has i just get letters every so often about him not paying on time.Sorry i didnt mean my credit score is being affectede by defaults i just wanted it off my account as its such a big loan0

As your named on the loan your both liable for it.
When you took the loan out were you working ?0 -
What arrangement did you agree too when you divorced ?0
