Block booking train journeys?

A couple of years ago someone I met mentioned that you can "block book" train travel and get a minor saving.
For example, 10 journeys for the price of 8.
Assuming you're travelling the same route.
Valid for 6/12 months or such.
Does this still exist as an option anywhere?
What's the terminology for it?
I've tried Googling, but frustratingly as I can't remember the special name for the ticket they used, it's eluding me.
I'm pretty sure this was legit as I looked it up at the time - I just can't seem to find any references now. :-/

I'm very aware of split tickets and booking earlier, etc, etc, but if such a ticket does exist and is available - it'd be useful for certain situations.

Typical, seconds after posting but after a long time searching:
carnet
Example
https://www.greateranglia.co.uk/tickets-fares/business-travel/carnet-singlereturn
And if anyone else wanted to also find LNER Carnet info, here it is:
https://www.lner.co.uk/rail-travel/your-ticket/train-ticket-options/business-carnet/
Although whether this is cheaper than just pre-booking any how, we'll see.0 -
Not all companies offer carnet tickets. This site has a drop down with a list
https://www.thetrainline.com/en/help/question/4557/content
Note: Do NOT buy through Trainline as they charge a fee easily avoided by booking direct with the train company.0 -
Also if on a paper carnet take care to unambiguously write the date on the ticket with a pen that does not smudge.0
