Training course?

What help is here if going back into training?

Can you get WTC if self employed part time and in training for the rest of the time? So could you call it 30 hrs week or something including the time in college?

  • No tax credits are granted on paid working hours. Training doesn't count.

Depending on the level studying student finance or advance learner loans are available

I wish there was a government scheme where they could help people go back into training

There are a few training schemes available for people who are unemployed etc, however it greatly varies as to what the actual training is.

There's a company in Newcastle near me who have just started a 6 week fully funded training course for Telecoms engineering jobs etc, I think you leave with a level 2 qualification at the end of it, as well as a guaranteed job INTERVIEW, no guarantee of a job obviously. But everything is fully funded as far as the training goes.

However as said above, having an income and training at the same time in this day and age there is rarely any government funded help. There is obviously going back into education etc which can be funded and then eventually paid back.
