Bellway Homes - New Homes reference problem

In the process of trying to reserve a Bellway Homes house from plan.
Bellway, fairly or unfairly require you to be "approved" by their broker, new homes mortgage helpline.
NHMH cannot place me and my partner with a lender due to our circumstances, the problems being my partners credit combined with the fact she has just started a new job role as a Trainee Nursing Asociate for the NHS and it is by its nature a 2 year fixed term contract. My partner went straight from 9 years as a supermarket supervisor into this role with no gap in employment. This is all fair and well, so i thought i would contact a specialist broker to see if we have more luck.
Got in touch with Just mortgage brokers and after a couple of weeks of sending off documents(contract of employment, bank statements, wage slips) they manmaged to secure us a mortgage in principle with Precise. Brilliant, i thought, i'll just go back to bellway and reserve the house on my newly acquired AIP.
Wrong, Bellway are insisting i get this reference from NHMH which i cannot get. Ive had a couple of calls from NHMH asking for who my lender was through my new broker and asking am i committed and basically trying to steal the business, which is fine if they can save me money i thought.
Anyway, Bellway request my AIP to be sent to them from my broker, this happens and its another call from bellway asking me to get back in touch with NHMH. I call them and they tell me that they still cannot give me a reference as they have already tried to place me with Precise as a lender and Precise refused???
I am now nervously waiting for Monday as the Bellway sales manager wants to speak to my broker.
To me NHMH are basically calling out my broker on not being able to do his job and saying that the mortgage app will fail at full application. I am confused as to what the sales manager will gain from speaking with my broker as surely the broker will just tell them that he can get us the mortgage?
What a mess, does anyone have any thoughts/guidance.

It sounds like Bellway are paying more credence to the ability of NHMH, than the broker you have instructed.
Looking on my notes, it does appear that Precise would be a suitable lender for you, so I would just your broker convince Bellway as best as they can!I am a Mortgage Broker.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my story. I personally am pretty lost for words regarding the whole situation. When i asked NHMH if they are questioning my brokers ability to get us a mortgage with Precise, they replied no. Although they seem to be contradicting thereselves with their actions, i also find it a little bit naughty of Bellway passing my AIP info over to NHMH without permission?0

Newbuild developers are a law unto themselves, but I would challenge them on this.
NHMH aren't geared towards 'tricky' cases, so they may not have the specialist knowledge you find with other brokers.I am a Mortgage Broker.

The fact that i am using a specialist is something i brought up to NHMH to have the response of "our agent at Precise says no"
I will 100% be challenging Bellway with regards to passing on my lender without permission but i'm pretty sure the response will be along the lines of they're protecting themselves from a lost sale/ having the property off the market if the mortgage fails. And will just say they got NHMH to run our details through with Precise.
Still seems very naughty all around, especially the call i got from NHMH trying to poach my business once Bellway informed them i has secured an AIP elsewhere.0 -
Seems a breach of GDPR there?0

Thats exactly what i initially thought BoGoF, although bellway can just say they asked NHMH to run us past Precise, although that again would of been done without permission. Sadly all correspondance between myself, NHMH and bellway has been done on the phone.0

I can see Bellway saying they had a 'legitimate interest' in handing the information to their 'expert' to identify if you are in a position to proceed or not. Its not exactly clean or maybe even moral, but then this is the world of property sales.
This is why I always urge my clients to stay away from in-house brokers!I am a Mortgage Broker.
