Q: How many extra bathtubs of water per minute has Essex & Suffolk been adding to its network?

A: ???? (It states that the answer can be found on the page, but I can't see it. I've found the figure of 120 mega litres per day here if any anyone cares to do the maths.)

  • 8,333 bathtubs of water a minute.

    Explanation below:

    120 Mega-Litres of water = 120 000 000 Million Litres of water.

    24 Hours × 60 Minutes = 1440 Minutes

There is 10 Litres of Water in a Bathtub

    120 000 000 Million (Litres)! ÷ 1440 (Minutes) = 83.33 (Litres a Minute) ÷ 10 Litres (the amount of water a bathtub takes) = 8,333 bathtubs a minute.

10L is way too low - that's 5 bottles of fizzy drink or 2 watering cans.
