Unlikely Natwest AIP

All you mortgage clever people out there just looking for some reassurance/advice.
I have just had an AIP from Natwest for a mortgage via an excellent broker we are using. I am looking at the 90% LTV bracket. My credit file has 1 settled default from over 12 months ago for less than £500 and some late payments on credit cards now sorted again over 12 months ago. Now because of my credit history we both thought it was unlikely I would get approval on a 90%LTV mortgage and especially not at a high street lender but with nothing to lose being a soft search I said go for it and it seems to have passed the initial stage. I have been 100% honest with my broker he knows my earnings my wife's earnings both of which gives us a combined income over £100,00k - we are looking at borrowing between £250,000 - £300,000. He has all my credit files and has seen our budget in detail.
Question is how likely are things to progress from here for those knowing Natwest? Yes I know this has been asked a 1000 times before but just to put my mind at ease and give my poor broker a rest from my incessant questioning, thanks

Its a hard footprint with natwest when done through a broker.
Sounds like you fit criteria and passed scorecard.Providing your bank statements etc stack up, you should be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks ACG really appreciate the reply. I have done lots of googling and reading on forums about NatWest AIPs and I hope it progresses but I am not counting my chickens just yet0

We’ve just got an offer with NatWest, partners credit file is fine but mine isn’t great. Default from over 18 months ago settled only in March, for over £500. Few late payments but broker got us mortgage with NatWest due to complete in couple of weeks!!!
think positive! 0
