Hi Dandelion,
Welcome to MSE.
It sounds as though you have been having a bad time of it lately, grab a cup of coffee and rest assured you have come to the right place.
DFW is full of lovely helpful people who offer genuine honest advice, we have all been at rock bottom, and are still here to tell the tale.
The first thing to do (after coffee!) is to post a Statement of account, see the sticky at the top of this forum, on how it is constructed.

Hi and welcome to MSE :hello:
Consolidation generally isn't a good idea. All too many people on here (myself included) have borrowed more to pay off debt and ended up in an even worse state than before. Consolidation CAN work... but for the majority it's a 'quick fix' that doesn't get the the root of the problem. The only way you can retrain your mind out of the 'want something use credit' cycle is to knuckle down and work hard to pay off your debt.
If you put together a statement of affairs we can help you see where you can cut down to help you sort things out. There is a wealth of advice and support on this forum and trust me when I say you've come to the right place.

Hit the nail on the head there. I did the same, especially when it came to overdraft and credit cards etc. Consoldation didnt work for me, I did it as i thought it was an easy option but it was far from it!March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
