Same products in rest of country but cider is only 99p, £1 obviously set by Scottish minimum alcohol pricing.

I wish this trend for flavoured ciders and beers would end,Lidl had some sausages on special last weekend I tried the pork chipolatas and thought they were pretty much tasteless, the peanuts look ok.
  • I did see a cloudy cider in Lidl the other day I havent tried it yet but it did look more traditional that fruit with apple
    Good luck

I went in around noon, and previously was umm-ing and aah-ing about whether I should get some £2.99 wine (allegedly worth £5) on offer. It's not the best, but it's light and fruity and it will do if you want to be hospitabe on a budget.

I needn't have taxed my brain cells because when I got there, all that could be seen in the promotional area was an empty case of 6, and none in reserve in the wine aisle. Last time they had loads. I shouldn't have been surprised, because South Essex is up there with Glasgow for p*ss-heads :o
