BPO Emails????

I have recently started to get 4 or 5 emails a day from BPO that usually go straight into my junk folder and dismissed but ive started to take note of them.
Basically all the emails are sent to my hotmail but they are addressed to my ex (not divorced) partner my name is not mentioned at all and they are for debts we hadnt accrued together as far as i can tell they are debts that she took out after our seperation.
I have had issues with debt in the past but im all but paid off the my personal outstanding debts and i dont know if im somehow also responsible for these debts simply because she chose my email address as a point of contact.
So really my questions are should i ignore these emails because its not in my name, therefore not my debt? Should i contact BPO to explain these debts arent mine? (im fairly sure thats the last thing i should do). Am I actually technically responsible for the actions taken by an ex and these debts are somehow also mine?
Any help on this will be great as im finding conflicting information on google

Hi Andyjmair and welcome to MSE,
First of all, you are not liable for someone else's debts, just because they are using your email address. You must've signed the contract in order to be liable. If they are addressed to your ex, then it could be worth replying to them, and stating that you don't recognise the debt and that she has given incorrect contact information, ask them to stop contacting you.
If the emails continue, you can raise a complaint on the basis of harassment, and escalate it to the financial ombudsman service if they don't resolve the situation. It may also be worth checking your credit files (as a precaution) to ensure that nothing has been taken out in your name, without your permission.
