Here at the Jazz Club we have two pairs of tickets to the award-winning documentary, One Note At A Time to give away. One Note At A Time is a film about the musicians who bounced back post-Hurricaine Katrina.
The Multiple award-winning One Note At A Time is a documentary which is released on August 24th. The film pays homage to the musicians who courageously returned to their hometown of New Orleans after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina to resuscitate the music scene.
It features Dr John, Kermit Ruffins, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Irma Thomas, Al ‘Carnival Time’ Johnson, The Hot 8 Brass Band and final interviews and performances from the late Walter Payton Jr, Wardell Quezergue, Herman ‘Roscoe’ Ernest III and ‘Uncle’ Lionel Batiste. Filmmaker Renee Edwards’ debut feature is playing in select cities, including London, Manchester and Chichester. For more information on screenings click here.
