Own a house joint names - she's agreed to transfer over for payment but can I do this myself or do I need to go through solicitor / conveyancing?

You've posted in the Mortgages and Endowments section, so I assume there's a mortgage? If so then no, the lender (and their solicitors) will need to be involved as a minimum.0
