Hi, I've had credit cards in past and just been credit check only, is it the same for loans?

It will depend.
Some may ask you to confirm salary but if you apply with a lender who can see where your wages are paid in it should not be necessary.0 -
With your BTL and credit/loan experience you really need to ask this lol0
