Don't you just hate it when... you get a notification that a page has replied to your post and it's "Thanks for entering!"
Worse things will have happened in the world today...

    Even worse, you get an email which says "Competition Winner!" and you open it to see "The winner of our competition is...." anyone but you.

    ^^^This....except the winner is me (except it's not, because the winner is someone else with the exact same name, so it turns out I haven't won after all!)

    Not all all to any of those - shows my entries are getting there. Don't begrudge opening an email to encourage companies to keep doing the comps. Would much rather have a fb page comment that's irrelevant than one that hides the winning comment where nobody can see it then redraws because the winner didn't contact them in 5 minutes, or never mentions it again and the winner gets no prize. And since I only enter for stuff I want I might occasionally want a discount code.

    When other entrants to the competition start posting their entries in reply to your comment , why?!

    When you enter a competition soon after it goes live, and then they change the link and everyone else is entering using a different link, leaving you wondering if your entry is being counted. :mad:

    You excitedly see 'Congratulations you've...' at the start of an e-mail, only for it to be merely congratulating you on submitting a entry to comp! Why is that worthy of congratulations?! The usual 'Thanks for your entry' or 'Entry confirmed' will do just fine.

    ..........you get hundreds of congratulations emails because Kate and William have had another baby or because Harry and Meghan have married.
