First time buyer - payday loan/DMP

I am looking to purchase a house however my financial past hasn't been the cleanest. Around 4/5 years ago I was on a DMP for about 6 months but then came off and cleared the debt. I have also had a fair few payday loans however nothing over the past year. My credit score has picked up and depending which report i use it seems ok.
Experian - 977/999 (seems a bit high)
Clearscore - 513/700
Noddle - 3/5 (567)
I have a loan which has about 9k left over 2 years which i used to purchase a car but i'm just really worried my past is going to stop me from being able to buy a house. I earn around £40k plus 10% bonus and i'm looking for advice on whether i stand a chance? My partners credit file is clean as a whistle but i don't know if that would help mask my past.

depends on your LTV/ Deposit/ House price
Get a broker and given them copies of all your credit files to hand and they will guide you, I suspect you may need an adverse credit broker given your history
it's the credit history and not the score that matter. Lender's have their own lending criteria and ignore credit scores from other agencies"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
